By decision of the Pervomaisky District Court, the ban on holding peaceful assemblies has been extended until December 31, 2022. Media Policy Institute reported.
At the same time, the perimeter of the ban is reportedly expanding. The ban applies to Erkindik Boulevard (from Lineinaya Street to Chui Avenue. — Note of 24.kg news agency).
It should be noted that marches for freedom of speech take place along this route, and a #Reaction march was recently held there because of the pressure on the media, deportation of journalist Bolot Temirov and arrest of activists.
On April 1, the municipal administration of the City Hall of the capital banned peaceful rallies near the building of the Russian Embassy, on Ala-Too square, near the buildings of the Parliament, the presidential administration, and the State Committee for National Security. The City Hall extended the ban until December 1 (inclusive). The court upheld the decision.
It is allowed to hold rallies in Maxim Gorky park only.
