Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov is on a working visit to Japan. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
Akylbek Japarov will take part in the work of the Central Asian Investment Forum, as well as hold a number of bilateral meetings.
He has already met with the Minister of Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia Khayangaa Bolorchuluun. The head of the Cabinet noted the need to expand trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia.
In turn, the Minister Khayangaa Bolorchuluun expressed the interest of the Mongolian side in the more active development of bilateral relations in areas of interest to both countries.
The parties agreed to study issues aimed at expanding and increasing bilateral ties in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
In addition, during the visit to Japan, the Ministry of Energy presented the water and energy potential of Kyrgyzstan. The emphasis was made on the construction of small hydropower facilities and the development of renewable energy sources in general.
The Kyrgyz side managed to arrange a visit of representatives of Muroosystems Corporation to Kyrgyzstan in December 2022 to study the country’s hydropower potential.
