Kyrgyzstan to get €3 million of budget support for digitalization

An agreement was reached on budget support for Kyrgyzstan in the amount of €3 million as part of a digitalization project. It was announced following a meeting of the Deputy Foreign Minister Aibek Moldogaziev and Director-General for International Partnerships of the European Commission Peteris Ustubs. The Foreign Affairs Ministry reported.

The parties discussed the project and programme partnership of the Kyrgyz Republic and the European Union.

«An agreement was reached to continue projects under the Multi-Annual Indicative Program for 2021-2027, as well as on budgetary support in the amount of €3 million as part of a project in the field of digitalization,» the Foreign Ministry said.

Aibek Moldogaziev also met with the Vice President of the European Investment Bank Teresa Chervinska. He agreed with her that an expert group would come to Kyrgyzstan to unleash the potential of bilateral and regional cooperation in the framework of infrastructure green projects in the fields of energy and transport.
