Chunkurchak Gorge will host the first International Mountaineering and Dry-tooling Festival on November 19-20. The Federation of Mountaineering and Sports Climbing of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The festival has been successfully held since 2014 on the rocks in the vicinity of Yekaterinburg, this year it will be held in Kyrgyzstan.
The event is held in the format of a six-hour marathon, where participants are offered a choice of about 40 routes of varying difficulty. Participants themselves choose routes and style of their covering.
The organizers noted that the program was designed for participants with different experience, knowledge and skills in mountaineering and ice climbing, and would be of interest to both beginners and experienced athletes.
