Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan Marat Imankulov met with the Head of the Mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Kyrgyzstan (ICRC) Carlos Batallas. The press service of the President reported.
The parties discussed issues of repatriation of Kyrgyzstanis kept in Syrian camps and providing assistance to residents of Batken region who suffered during the armed conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.
The Kyrgyz side reaffirmed its intention to resolve any issues of delimitation and demarcation of borders exclusively by peaceful, diplomatic means.
The measures taken by the state were announced to repatriate citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic from the camps in Syria, to further provide them with psychological, social and medical assistance, as well as to create conditions for their further integration into society. The wishes of the Kyrgyz side to strengthen the provision of humanitarian and technical assistance by the ICRC were outlined.
Carlos Batallas assured that the mission would continue to provide humanitarian and technical assistance to state bodies and repatriates for their adaptation and integration into society.
