The next meeting of the organizing committee for holding the first People’s Kurultai took place under the chairmanship of State Secretary Suyunbek Kasmambetov. Press service of the President reported.
Members of the organizing committee approved the agenda, the draft regulations and the emblem of the kurultai.
«The purpose of the kurultai is a direct meeting of the head of state and an exchange of views with delegates elected from the regions. There will be no trained, so-called duty delegates. It is necessary to organize the relationship between the people and the authorities and take further steps, taking into account the key proposals for development of the country,» Suyunbek Kasmambetov stressed.
He noted that delegates’ questions would be recorded and made public through the media.
Proposals of 1,074 deputies elected from the regions will be taken into account, recommendations will be developed on them, which the Chairman of the People’s Kurultai will send to all branches of government, state bodies and local government bodies. Kurultai will end with the closing speech of Sadyr Japarov.
The People’s Kurultai will be held in Bishkek on November 25.
