The Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security and Migration of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan approved a loan agreement with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to support the budget of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the Deputy Minister Ruslan Tatikov, ADB allocates $50 million.
«$25 million is a loan for 46 years at 1.5 percent. During the grace period, eight years, interest rate will be 1 percent. Half of the amount is a grant,» Ruslan Tatikov said.
The official noted that the main amount will be used to restore Batken.
«We plan to allocate 3 billion soms to restore the region,» he said.
At the last meeting of the committee, Ruslan Tatikov said that, in addition to the restoration of Batken, part of the ADB loan in the amount of 1.3 billion soms will be allocated for the construction of Bala-Saruu HPP.
Earlier, the Committee of the Parliament approved another loan agreement with the ADB for the same amount.
