Criminal cases have been initiated against a number of gold mining companies operating in Kyrgyzstan. The First Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technological Supervision Kanat Sadykov told at a press conference.
«Law enforcement agencies are working, so I can’t comment on this. The work is carried out by the prosecutor’s office and the State Committee for National Security. The entire mining complex in Ala-Buka district of Jalal-Abad region, as well as enterprises in Batken and Naryn regions, were checked. Based on the results of the check, criminal cases have been initiated and investigative measures are underway,» Sadykov said.
According to him, first of all, gold mining enterprises passed the inspection by the commission of the ministry. Coal companies will be the next to pass the corresponding check.
