Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with the Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Oleg Khramov. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
The parties discussed further strengthening of the Kyrgyz-Russian strategic partnership, including within the framework of regional international organizations and integration associations. The head of the Cabinet noted that 2022 is an anniversary year for the Kyrgyz-Russian bilateral relations.
The parties paid special attention to expanding cooperation in the migration and information spheres.
«An active political dialogue at the highest and high levels, as well as a high degree of sectoral interaction contribute to an effective partnership both in bilateral and multilateral formats,» Akylbek Japarov said.
He also reminded that the main advantage of Kyrgyzstan’s entry into the Eurasian Economic Union in 2015 was the opportunity for citizens to work in the Russian Federation without obtaining permits.
«Unfortunately, the citizens of Kyrgyzstan continue to experience difficulties in legalizing their stay on the territory of Russia,» the head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted.
He asked for maximum assistance in solving the problems of compatriots in the Russian Federation.
In turn, the Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Oleg Khramov said that an agreement was reached at a meeting with the Minister of Labour, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan Kudaibergen Bazarbaev to continue cooperation on migration issues, including within the framework of interagency cooperation to find solutions to existing problems.
