Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan considered prospects for building up investment cooperation. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Uzbekistan Musa Dzhamanbaev said at a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodzhaev.
According to the press service of the ministry of Uzbekistan, to date, there are 291 enterprises with Kyrgyz capital operating in Uzbekistan. The parties expressed their readiness to increase the number of joint projects in the territories of the two countries for the production of finished textile, pharmaceutical, construction, and agricultural products.
An agreement was reached on the development of a program for trade and economic cooperation and the development of industrial cooperation for 2022-2025, as well as an agreement on the organization of the production of agricultural machinery and cars and an agreement on cooperation in the field of circulation of medicines and medical devices.
Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan will also prepare an agreement for the joint production of agricultural machinery and cars.
The parties reached agreement to organize a visit by the government delegation of Uzbekistan to develop new promising joint projects of industrial cooperation, conclude trade contracts, hold the 10th meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission on bilateral cooperation and a business forum with the participation of the heads of regions of the two countries in Bishkek.
The parties also discussed the activities of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund, which has already begun financing a project in the field of urban transport in the amount of $1.85 million.
