The volume of public investment in education next year will be increased to 64 billion soms. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov said at the opening ceremony of a school in Muras-Ordo residential area in Bishkek. The press service of the Cabinet reported.
Akylbek Japarov noted that construction of the school in the residential area could not be completed for 5 years.
«About 136 million soms were allocated for its construction. The school is equipped with modern equipment and meets international standards. Projector screens have been installed in 40 classrooms, there are carpentry and cooking classes, sewing equipment has been installed, a sports hall and a sports ground have been built. In addition, a dental office was opened. All these conditions used to be only in private schools, and now they will be in public ones. The infrastructure was created at the expense of the budget funds, and not at the expense of donors,» he said.
According to him, the school was named after the great writer of the Kyrgyz people Tologon Kasymbekov. «From now on, schools, kindergartens and other social and cultural facilities will be named after historical figures, national classics,» he added.
The head of the Cabinet also told about the ongoing reforms in the field of education and noted the importance of attestation and rotation of school principals in order to strengthen the schools with strong professional staff.
Akylbek Japarov added that this year 47 billion soms were allocated for the education sector, it will be 64 billion soms next year, of which 5 billion are planned to be used for the development of schools.
«The Cabinet of Ministers is working to provide schoolchildren with laptops, new electronic textbooks, adopting the experience of the advanced countries of the world. The state took a course on development. We only need the support of the people, we need unity, peace and all-round development,» Japarov concluded.
Construction of 15 schools and one kindergarten is nearing completion in Bishkek. Three billion soms were allocated for this, including 2.5 billion soms from the republican budget.
