The Prosecutor General’s Office of Kyrgyzstan detained the former external manager of Kumtor Gold Company JSC Tengiz Bolturuk. The head of the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office Sirojiddin Kamolidinov told 24.kg news agency.
In addition, the procurement specialist Aisha-Gul Frontbek kyzy Dzhanalieva and the Financial Director Ryspek Toktogulov were detained together with him.
«All the detainees have been placed in the temporary detention center of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek, the investigation is ongoing,» Sirojiddin Kamolidinov said.
After checking the work of Kumtor Gold Company JSC, the Prosecutor General’s Office initiated three criminal cases.
Earlier it was reported about financial violations revealed at Kumtor, in particular, fuels and lubricants, food, spare parts were purchased at prices above market ones. In this regard, Tengiz Bolturuk, who previously headed Kumtor, and financial director Ryspek Toktogulov were removed from their posts.
