The President of Kyrgyzstan received the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS member states, who arrived in Cholpon-Ata city to participate in a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Commonwealth countries.
Sadyr Japarov noted that in the age of globalization and technological progress, the CIS countries, clearly understanding modern realities, are making the necessary efforts to ensure peace and tranquility in the Eurasian space. He praised the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, adding that the department ensures the solution of the tasks set in the law enforcement sphere.
«The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has recently carried out a number of organizational and other measures aimed at protecting law and order, combating crime, ensuring safety of the population, creating conditions for a peaceful and stable life of citizens. As part of the reform of the internal affairs bodies of the country, mobile police receptions, centers and points for the provision of public services on the basis of Single Window principle function in all regions of the republic. The state is constantly working to improve the material and social situation of police officers, and as part of this, the construction of a 240-apartment building for police officers has been completed in Osh city. Construction of a new building of the military unit 707 of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is nearing completion,» Sadyr Japarov said.
The President stressed that as part of the implementation of measures on digitalization, 2,141 video cameras were installed in public places. Of these, 200 video cameras monitor the crime situation in the country online through a single Operational Control Center. More than 240 video cameras are planned to be installed by the end of the year. A Department for Information and Technical support and Combating Crimes in the field of IT has been created.
Sadyr Japarov believes that the potential of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country allows to fully assert its readiness for modern challenges and threats, to ensure the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens.
«It is gratifying that cooperation with foreign partners is expanding in multilateral, bilateral formats, including with the CIS countries,» the head of state emphasized.
The President is confident that the joint meeting is another step contributing to development of cooperation in the fight against crime. The participants agreed with this, emphasizing that strengthening personal contacts between ministries contributes to the prompt resolution of issues and the exchange of experience.
