More than 80 Kyrgyzstanis sent to work in Korea

At least 85 Kyrgyzstanis were sent to work in South Korea.

Director of the Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad under the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration Kubandyk Akmatbekov told 24.kg news agency that they left under the EPS program, in which 16 countries participate (only Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan participate in it from Central Asia).

«To date, this is one of the best programs: the minimum wage is $2,000, accommodation and meals are paid by the employer. It includes social package, insurance, regular vacation, but it is necessary to speak the Korean language. Therefore, everyone who wishes must first pass a language proficiency test in Kyrgyzstan. Every year, about 2,000 citizens participate in the test, and those who pass the exam are entered into the database of the Korean Ministry of Labor, where employers can select them and send labor contracts. The visa is issued for three years with extension for a year and 10 months,» Kubandyk Akmatbekov said.
