An eco-campaign timed to the World Cleanup Day starts in Kyrgyzstan. The Ambassador of the World Cleanup Day, President of Eco Demi Public Foundation, Aizhan Chynybaeva, told at a press conference.
She noted that Kyrgyzstan has been participating in the international campaign for the fourth year in a row.
«For three years in a row Kyrgyzstan took the first place in terms of the percentage of participants in the event to the number of people living in the country. Today is the start of preparations for the World Cleanup Day. The first eco-marathon will be held on Thursday, which takes place as part of Kelechek Youth Forum. Delegates from the CIS countries and the EAEU will participate in it. The marathon will be held in the gamification format. Participants will find and sort garbage at speed,» Aizhan Chynybaeva said.
Eco Demi director invited government agencies, business representatives, volunteers and caring citizens to join the campaign.
The World Cleanup Day is marked annually on September 17.
