The President addressed Kyrgyzstanis in connection with the death of compatriots as a result of a traffic accident in Ulyanovsk Oblast of Russia. Press service of the head of state reported.
Sadyr Japarov noted that the accident shocked each of the Kyrgyz people. This irreparable loss of deep pain echoed in the hearts of all.
With great sorrow we received the news that our compatriots got into the traffic accident.

«I understand and share the pain of the relatives of the victims, it is a hard time for them now. In such cases, it is difficult to say the words of sympathy. Nevertheless, I offer my deepest condolences to the families and friends of those who died and were injured in the road accident. I share grief with everyone and ask the Almighty to give you the strength to hold on, patience. The Holy Quran says: «And Allah loves the patient.» Be patient, dear compatriots!» the head of state said.
He also promised that assistance would be provided to the families and friends of those killed and injured in the road accident.
«Dear compatriots, this tragedy is a great grief for all our people. In this regard, I declare August 23 a Day of Mourning on the territory of Kyrgyzstan,» said Sadyr Japarov.
At least 16 people were killed in a traffic accident in Ulyanovsk Oblast of Russia, 14 of them are citizens of Kyrgyzstan. Three Kyrgyzstanis survived. Their condition is assessed as serious.
The minibus with Kyrgyzstanis was literally squeezed between two heavy trucks. The truck driver, who caused the fatal accident, also died.
