Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with a delegation from Korea Telecom Corporation headed by the Vice President Pak Seju. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
Akylbek Japarov noted that the visit is an important and positive signal in terms of development of bilateral relations and establishing substantive and professional work in areas where the parties can find common denominators.
«In particular, the joint development of e-commerce will create conditions for entrepreneurs and ensure stable and dynamic growth of the e-commerce industry,» the head of the Cabinet said.
Pak Seju expressed readiness for fruitful cooperation and exchange of best practices in the field of telecommunications. He presented to the meeting participants proposals for increasing transparency and developing the economy of Kyrgyzstan, based on the creation of an appropriate digital infrastructure, improving payment systems, and developing fintech innovations.
The parties discussed the prospects for bilateral and multilateral areas of cooperation.
This is not the first visit of representatives of the large Korean corporation to Kyrgyzstan. Akylbek Japarov already met with them in early July, when they came to get acquainted with the investment potential of the country. In addition, it was reported that Korea Telecom could become one of the participants in Digital CASA project.
