Russian athlete and tourist Maria Nechaeva, who participated in conquering of Khan Tengri Peak, died in Kyrgyzstan. Mountain tourism of the Republic of Bashkortostan group reported on social media.
Maria Nechaeva fell from a height of 5,900 meters. Her body was found at an altitude of 5,600 meters. According to the latest information from the group, rescuers and other climbers took her body down for evacuation by helicopter to Karakol.
Maria Nechaeva was engaged in mountaineering, rock climbing, skyrunning. Her achievements include the ascent to Lenin Peak with a height of 7,134 meters.
