Coal will be sold to the population of Kyrgyzstan at all state fuel sales points from August 1. The Minister of Energy Doskul Bekmurzaev told journalists.
According to him, officials will try to ensure uninterrupted fuel supplies.
The minister also assured that the country will pass this winter without any problems. There will be no difficulties with coal either.
«We have to provide ourselves with our own coal. Why do our private companies in the south supply coal to Poland when we need coal inside the republic? Therefore, we will raise the issue of first providing ourselves with coal, and then exporting it,» he commented.
At the same time, Doskul Bekmurzaev noted that a ban on the export of coal is out of question. The authorities are only going to regulate the process of its sale. «We will discuss it with our colleagues — ministers and resolve these issues. As for the supply of coal, I think we will be able to provide the required volume,» he concluded.
