A telephone conversation took place between the Presidents of Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
According to Akorda, during the conversation initiated by the Ukrainian side, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Volodymyr Zelensky exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, celebrated on July 23.
The leader of the Republic of Kazakhstan noted the achievement of important positive results in the development of bilateral cooperation in the economic and humanitarian spheres during this period.
He positively assessed the tripartite agreement reached in Turkey with the assistance of the UN on the export of Ukrainian grain. He also confirmed the principled position of Kazakhstan regarding settlement of the situation in Ukraine by diplomatic means.
Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on Twitter that during the conversation he expressed his gratitude to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev «for the principled support of the territorial integrity of Ukraine» and the non-recognition of the LPR and DPR.
The President of Kazakhstan, during his speech at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, said that his country did not recognize the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics.
