Foreign Ministers of Central Asian countries meet in Cholpon-Ata

Cholpon-Ata city hosted a meeting of Foreign Affairs Ministers of Central Asian countries today, July 20. Press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The meeting was attended by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi, Tajikistan — Sirojiddin Muhriddin, Acting Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan Shadurdy Meredov. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev chaired the meeting.

During the talks, the parties discussed preparations for the upcoming Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, which will be held tomorrow, July 21, in Cholpon-Ata.

The participants also exchanged views on topical international and regional issues, noted the fruitful cooperation of states within the UN, OSCE, CIS, SCO and other international organizations. Following the meeting, the importance of regularity of contacts in this format, including in «Central Asia +» format, was noted.
