GoBus buses could start running from Manas airport to Karakol (Issyk-Kul region) and Almaty (Kazakhstan). The Tourism Support Fund informed 24.kg news agency.
According to the organization, express buses show good profitability.
«An increase in the number of passengers since the launch is 300 percent. The bus occupancy rate to date is 35 percent. In two months, we plan to reach 100 percent occupancy,» the Fund said.
As part of the project, work is also underway with recommendations from passengers on the service and route of the buses. A website and a mobile application with the function of tracking and online booking of seats will be launched in the near future.
«Study of market in terms of creation of new routes is being carried out. If we receive a lot of wishes regarding some additional stop or a partial change in the route, we will definitely listen to them,» the Fund added.
In the future, a similar route is planned to be launched in Osh — from the airport to the city and along popular tourist routes.
The possibility of launching GoBus buses from Bishkek to Karakol and from Manas airport to Almaty is being explored.
Express buses Bishkek — Manas Airport — Bishkek started running at the end of June. They strictly follow the route and run at intervals of 30 minutes. Passengers are picked up at the following eight stops:
