Russian Teacher Abroad project will cover 34 schools in Bishkek and Osh cities in Kyrgyzstan. Teacher’s Newspaper reports, citing the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
According to the media outlet, the project earlier involved 20 educational institutions, and 14 more schools will join it from September 1.
More than 70 teachers from Russia will reportedly work in elementary schools, as well as teach Kyrgyz children the Russian language and literature, mathematics, physics and other sciences. All lessons will be conducted in Russian.
This project started in 2019. As the Ministry of Education noted, it is in demand among the local population.
In the past 2021/22 academic year, 30 teachers from Russia participated in the program. They have worked in more than 20 schools in Osh. Educational institutions of Bishkek have also joined the project.
«Kyrgyzstan highly appreciates the experience and professionalism of Russian teachers. At the end of the academic year, the teachers who participated in the project were awarded letters of gratitude. Ability of specialists from Russia to organize work with children, parents and local colleagues was specifically mentioned,» the statement says.
