President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, as part of his working trip, laid a capsule on the construction site of an educational and medical complex of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (KSMA) named after Isa Akhunbaev in Batken. Press service of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The head of state, speaking to the local population, noted the importance and significance of the event for compatriots living in Batken region.
«This center will be built as a multidisciplinary medical and diagnostic hospital, equipped with modern equipment, an X-ray, ultrasound, MRT rooms, ECG device. A 200-seat conference hall, a dormitory for 200 students, and a day-stay hospital for 500 patients will be built. Ninety medical specialists will be employed,» the press service noted.
The estimated cost of the project financed from the KSMA budget is 603.5 million soms.
Almost 93 million soms were allocated by foreign investors for construction of the dormitory, and it is planned to equip the center with modern medical devices worth 100 million soms.
«Such complexes should be built throughout Kyrgyzstan. God willing, there will be similar campuses in the center of each region. Along with improving the infrastructure in the regions, it is also necessary to take care of the health of citizens. Sticking to the goal, we start with Batken region as the youngest. First of all, one of the main tasks of this complex will be to take care of the health of the local population and train specialists,» the President stressed.
The head of state expressed hope that construction of such a modern educational and medical complex would inspire the medical workers of Batken and the graduates of the center would join the ranks of doctors.
After the capsule-laying ceremony, Sadyr Japarov talked with the gathered local residents, who raised questions regarding the development of social and economic situation and infrastructure of the region. The President gave a number of instructions to representatives of the relevant state structures and local government bodies to resolve the issues raised.
