New national airline Kyrgyz Airways intends to buy two airplanes. Vice President for Economy and Finance of Kyrgyzindustriya OJSC Turgun Asanov announced at a meeting of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense and Security of the Parliament.
According to him, the open joint-stock company established Kyrgyz Airways.
«According to the decree of the President on improvement of the civil aviation management system and measures to develop air communication in the Kyrgyz Republic, we established Kyrgyz Airways company. Its task is to organize a national airline for domestic and international air transportations. This will lead to reduction of capital outflow due to work of foreign airlines. The authorized capital is 15 million soms. We are planning to take two airplanes under dry and wet leasing», Turgun Asanov said.
Kyrgyz Airways company has already existed in the market. In 2011, it became the first Kyrgyz airline, aircraft of which began to fly to Istanbul. Then it planned to open flights to Germany.
According to tour operators, Kyrgyz Airways had one plane that broke down in 2018, which was the reason for suspension of flights.
Kyrgyzindustriya open joint-stock company with a charter capital of 1 billion soms was established by the Cabinet of Ministers in January 2022.
