President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov received the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri. Press service of the head of state reported.
The parties exchanged views on the development of cooperation between the countries in the trade, economic and investment spheres.
Sadyr Japarov noted that Kyrgyzstan is interested and ready to develop and strengthen relations with the UAE in all areas of bilateral cooperation. He noted an opportunity for a multiple increase in the volume of mutual trade.
The President stressed the importance of development of partnership in tourism industry, and also suggested considering the possibility of creation of a joint development fund following the example of the Russian-Kyrgyz, Hungarian-Kyrgyz and Uzbek-Kyrgyz ones.
The fund’s resources are supposed to be directed to the implementation of projects in the priority sectors of country’s economy.
As Sadyr Japarov emphasized, Kyrgyzstan is ready to expand cooperation with the UAE, and the Kyrgyzstanis are always happy to welcome guests from the UAE.
UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and agreed that the volume of trade and economic relations between the states has great potential. He noted that a number of agreements were reached on the development of trade and economic relations during his visit.
The minister added that the UAE would study the possibility of creating a joint development fund and would consider a model of functioning of the established funds.
Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri conveyed warm greetings from the UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, stressing that the UAE side was looking forward to the visit of Sadyr Japarov.
