The heads of departments of the Ministry of Health, who spoke out against the Health Minister of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev at a press conference, were fired.
The Ministry of Health reported that the layoffs in the central office were «due to the reforms carried out by the ministry and to achieve the goals.»
«By orders of the Ministry of Health, the head of the Documentation Management and Organizational Work Department Gulmira Ibraeva, the head of the Legal Department Azamat Zhumakeev and the head of the Public Health Department Ainura Akmatova were relieved of their positions,» the ministry said.
Deputy Ministers of Health Uluk-Bek Bekturganov, Jalalidin Rakhmatullaev and Zhaparkul Tashiev addressed the President Sadyr Japarov and the head of the Cabinet Akylbek Japarov at a press conference. The medical workers asked to consider Alymkadyr Beishenaliev’s job suitability. Already dismissed employees of the central office also criticized the minister at the press conference. In turn, the minister said that his deputies were incompetent.
