The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan decided to entrust an independent audit of the financial statements of Kumtor Gold Company CJSC to Ernst & Young. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov signed an appropriate order.
Ernst & Young should conduct an audit of Kumtor based on the results of its work in 2021. The interim manager was instructed to conclude a corresponding contract with Ernst & Young Audit LLC, taking into account the price and other conditions specified in the commercial proposal within the annual budget of Kumtor Gold Company CJSC.
Following the results of the audit, all financial statements together with the report should be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers.

On April 4, the head of the state Sadyr Japarov announced signing of an agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers and the Canadian company Centerra Gold, resolving disagreements on the management of Kumtor Gold Company CJSC. According to the document, the Cabinet received the right of full management and ownership of the mine.
