ICT specialists will train Kyrgyzstanis how to promote digitalization in the regions. Project Coordinator Banur Abdieva told.
From April 19 to April 27, as part of DigiKonush project, trainings on creating digital skills training products will be held in remote areas of Osh, Batken and Issyk-Kul regions.
Workshops have been developed and will be held by:
- Talant Sultanov, M.A. from Columbia University (USA), chairman of the Kyrgyz branch of Internet Society, which created Ilimbox that was included in the top seven products in the world;
- Aziz Soltobaev, author of the roadmap for development of Osh region, research on the development of digital skills in Kyrgyzstan, co-author of the project of the National Strategy of Digital Transformation Taza Koom;
- Fariza Chilmergenova, professional trainer in design thinking, e-commerce, digital marketing, digital product development, flexible project management methodology.
The DigiKonush project is implemented by Leader Center for Civic Initiatives in partnership with the Estonian Center for International Development with the support of the European Union and is aimed at improving the digital literacy of women and youth and reducing the digital divide between the urban and rural populations.
According to the study, Osh, Jalal-Abad and Issyk-Kul regions have the lowest percentage of digital skills coverage among women and youth.
