Sadyr Japarov about rallies: Leave embassies alone

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov is not against holding of rallies in Maxim Gorky minipark in Bishkek. He announced it on his Instagram page.

«A group of people expressed their intention to organize a rally, to march on foot through the streets of Bishkek and reach the embassies of foreign states. Every intention or step has a limit. Embassies and their territories are inviolable property of foreign countries. We also have embassies around the world. They are also our inviolable territory. No one has the right to break down their doors and make a fuss. We will not deviate from the democratic path, of course. We do not restrict our citizens, we do not restrict their rights,» he wrote.

Peaceful rallies should be held. We have chosen the capital’s Gorky park for these purposes. If you want, you can hold rallies there around the clock. Say what you wish. Nobody is against it. There is only one request: leave the embassies alone.

Earlier it was reported that the Bishkek courts banned rallies in support of Ukraine or Russia.

A rally in support of Ukraine is planned to be held today in Maxim Gorky minipark.
