Bishkek courts ban rallies in support of Ukraine or Russia

Rallies in support of Ukraine or Russia have been banned in Bishkek. Press service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek reported.

According to it, the Pervomaisky, Leninsky, Sverdlovsky and Oktyabrsky District Courts recognized the decision of the municipal administrations of the districts to introduce a temporary ban on holding all types of peaceful assemblies, rallies and protests on the issue of the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict, with the exception of state and municipal official events held on Ala-Too square from April 1 to July 1, 2022 as lawful.

The Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek calls on all citizens and guests of the capital not to violate the decisions of the judiciary, as well as other norms of the law.

A rally in support of Ukraine is planned to be held today in Maxim Gorky minipark.
