Dordoi Motors market vendors hold rally against electronic consignment notes

Entrepreneurs of Dordoi Motors auto parts market held a rally against use of electronic invoices and electronic consignment notes. Participants of the protest told 24.kg news agency.

«We are not against use of cash registers. But we don’t need extra red taping with electronic consignment notes. This slows down trade,» one of the protesters said.

Market director Erkin Salymbekov came out to the crowd. He suggested the protesters to continue working or suspend trade until the issue is resolved.

At least 380 Dordoi Motors entrepreneurs took part in the protest. According to them, vendors from Osh Bazary and Aziz markets plan to join them.

Vice President of Dordoi Association Erkin Salymbekov stated last year that the introduction of cash registers and electronic consignment notes would play an important role in the development of the country’s economy, and called on all entrepreneurs to support the policy of the head of state and the Cabinet of Ministers in this direction.

Recall, all markets in the country had to switch from the license system to electronic consignment notes and electronic invoices from January 1, 2024. The sellers of the largest market in Kyrgyzstan, Dordoi, held a rally because of it. The president met with them and gave them time to prepare. Thus, Sadyr Japarov postponed the switch to electronic consignment notes till July 1, 2024.
