National Bank to direct 90 percent of income to budget support

The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan will direct 90 percent of its income for 2021-2022 to support the budget. The Deputy Minister of Finance Ruslan Tatikov told at a meeting of Parliament.

According to him, until 2018, the National Bank transferred only 70 percent of its income to the country’s budget.

«In 2018, we made changes, and the National Bank sent 90 percent to the budget due to the need for funds. For the same reason, we are making changes for 2021 and 2022, and in 2023 we will return to the previous 70 percent,» he said.

According to the Chairman of the National Bank Kubanychbek Bokontaev, 2.5 billion soms have been transferred to the country’s budget in 2021.

«Ten percent remain with the National Bank, that is we have 919 million soms left,» he said.

Kubanychbek Bokontaev noted that the National Bank has 8 billion soms in reserve.
