The Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan (CEC) canceled registration of a candidate Abdurakhmankhadzhi Murtazaliev. The decision was made at a CEC meeting.
According to the CEC Chairwoman Nurzhan Shaildabekova, earlier the coordinating rapid response group proposed to cancel his registration. She noted that Abdurakhmankhadzhi Murtazaliev can appeal the decision of the CEC in court.
Repeat elections were held in two single-mandate constituencies of Bishkek on February 27. Elvira Surabaldieva won the majority of votes — 47.97 percent — in the Pervomaisky single-mandate constituency. Abdurakhmankhadzhi Murtazaliev won the elections in Sverdlovsky single-mandate constituency. At least 19.52 percent of voters cast their votes for him. The CEC has not yet summed up the final results in this constituency.
