At least 88 teenagers committed suicide in 2021 in Kyrgyzstan. Nurzhan Adylova, head of the Department of Juvenile Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, told 24.kg news agency.
According to her, 98 cases were registered in 2020.
«Some 62 teenage suicides were registered in 2019, in 2020 — 98 and in 2021 — 88. One child committed suicide in 2022. The highest number of suicided was registered in Chui, Jalal-Abad and Issyk-Kul regions in 2021. The most recent case, which occurred in Osh earlier this year, is being investigated. The police are investigating the suicide of a 13-year-old boy,» Nurzhan Adylova said.
