Bishkek will host the World Ice Hockey Championship Division IV on March 3-8. Samat Toktonaliev, Deputy Director of the Physical Culture and Sports Department, announced at a press conference in Bishkek.
Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Singapore and Iran will participate in the tournament.
Many world-renowned athletes and hockey legend players will attend the tournament. Luc Tardif — President of the International Ice Hockey Federation, Petr Bříza — First Vice President of the International Ice Hockey Federation, Vladislav Tretyak — President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation, Franz Reindl — President of the German Ice Hockey Federation and Alexander Bogdanovich — President of the Belarus Ice Hockey Federation are expected among the guests," he said.
Toktonaliev noted that the championship of this level is held for the first time in the history of winter sports of the republic. He called on Kyrgyzstanis to attend the tournament and support the national team.
