Rally with demand to release Mirlan Uraimov held in Uzgen

A rally with demand to release Mirlan Uraimov, a member of Butun Kyrgyzstan party, is held in Uzgen district of Osh region.

The protesters believe that Mirlan Uraimov advocated only for the preservation of the territorial integrity of the country and was detained unreasonably. They demand from the authorities to stop the political persecution of party members, including MP Adakhan Madumarov. Those gathered also demand to release the activist.

Mirlan Uraimov was detained on February 8. He is suspected of public calls for a violent seizure of power. A post was published on the social media, which was allegedly written by a user Mirlan Uraimov. It is written in the Kyrgyz language that it is necessary to change the government as it does not work well. The detainee himself says that he did not write this.
