Akylbek Japarov: All businessmen in Kyrgyzstan will pay taxes

All businessmen in Kyrgyzstan will pay taxes. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov announced at a press conference.

According to him, Kyrgyzstan began to mandatory introduce cash registers too late.

«We should have started installing them back in 1991. Postponing it all the time, we found ourselves in the current situation. We intend to exempt from taxes those who, standing on the market in the cold, work with a small turnover — up to 8 million soms. Everyone working with higher amounts will pay. We only ask to install the devices and tell us from whom they take the goods. Those who have a large turnover will pay taxes. I am on the side of the people,» the head of the Cabinet said.

According to him, he is opposed by business representatives who do not want to pay taxes.

«Exactly they want to dismiss me. At a meeting with the president, some of the rich, it turns out, said that if Akylbek Japarov wrote the Tax Code, then something would happen. If we do not collect taxes, we will not be able to support orphans and others,» he said.

Earlier, entrepreneurs held protests against mandatory installation of cash registers. Sellers of Dordoi Dyikan and Dordoi markets, sellers of Tokmak market and others participated in the rallies.
