Bribery when hiring to prosecution agencies has ceased. Prosecutor General of Kyrgyzstan Kurmankul Zulushev announced at a press conference.
According to him, the supervisory authority themselves get rid of negligent employees.
«Two employees of the prosecutor’s office are under investigation now. One of them is a former deputy prosecutor of Oktyabrsky district of Bishkek and an employee of the personnel department. The criminal case against the latter is connected with land plots. Investigation into these cases continues,» Kurmankul Zulushev said.
He added that after the salaries were increased, the requirements for employees of the supervisory authority were tightened. «Some people think that they will come to the prosecutor’s office to work and everything will be fine for them. However, in practice, it turns out quite different, these people are disappointed, and then leave. Now you can live on the salary of an employee of the prosecutor’s office,» the head of the supervisory authority said.
Altynbek Aidarov, deputy prosecutor of Oktyabrsky district of the capital, extorted $5,000 from law enforcement officers. He was detained while taking a part of the extorted amount — more than 200,000 soms. The criminal case has been brought to court.
The prosecutor of the Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office was detained in December 2021.
