At least 26 billion soms have been allocated from the republican budget to support agriculture. Askarbek Dzhanybekov, head of the Ministry of Agriculture, said at the meeting of the Committee on Agrarian Policy, Water Resources, Ecology and Regional Development of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.
He noted that the amount of funding for agriculture has been significantly increased this year and, consequently, preparations for the spring field work began earlier than usual.
«Last year, 370 million soms were allocated for subsidies, this year — 500 million soms. For the first time 426 million soms were allocated for leasing of agricultural equipment. In total, 26 billion soms were allocated from the national budget to support agriculture. At least 1.5 billion soms of the amount were allocated to buy seeds, 1.5 billion soms — to buy mineral fertilizers, 1.1 billion soms — for water management, and 100 million soms were allocated in November 2021,» Askarbek Dzhanybekov said.
