Kyrgyzstan received the first 20 new freight wagons for railways. The Chief Inspector of the Department for Control and Supervision in the field of road transport safety Ulan Boobekov announced at a briefing in Bishkek.
«Since 2015, Russia has banned us from including freight cars that have served their service life, but have been repaired to extend it, in the freight trains. We wanted to extend the service life, but they were banned anyway, so now we are buying new freight wagons,» he told.
According to Ulan Boobekov, 100 open wagons were purchased through a tender, the first 20 wagons have already been delivered to the republic.
