China is ready to maintain equal relations with all Central Asian countries, including Kyrgyzstan. Li Hui, Special Representative of the PRC on Eurasian Affairs, stated today at a meeting with Chinologists in the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to him, China will further develop relations in the direction of maintaining security in the region.
Li Hui added that they should be based on mutually beneficial cooperation and respect. «The PRC will never claim hegemony. We stand for equal partnership, without imposing our policies,» he said.
China’s Special Representative on Eurasian Affairs also called on Kyrgyzstan to support Beijing’s position on Xinjiang, noting that some states, including the USA, interfere in the internal affairs of the PRC and go for provocations. He assured that no one infringes upon the rights of the Muslims in Xinjiang.
