Kyrgyzstan lowers electricity tariffs for low-income families

Electricity tariffs have been lowered for low-income families receiving a monthly allowance «ui-bulogo komok» in Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

Special tariffs have been set in the amount of 50 tyiyns per 1 kilowatt-hour (with a consumption of up to 700 kilowatt-hours a month).

Earlier, the President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree «On measures to support low-income citizens (families) in the form of reducing the amount of payment for electricity.»

The Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration needs to monthly update the lists and data of low-income families receiving allowances and having children under 16. The data will be submitted to the Ministry of Energy.

The Ministry of Energy was instructed to approve electricity tariffs for the aforementioned groups of consumers from January 1, 2022.

At the same time, the state agency was instructed to monthly submit the lists of low-income families receiving the monthly allowance «ui-bulogo komok», indicating the actual addresses of residence / stay in the context of regions and districts to the distribution companies.
