«Our current goal is to achieve a trade turnover of $1 billion between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey,» the Vice President of Turkey Fuat Oktay said at a Business Forum today.
According to him, following the results of eight months of 2021, the trade turnover amounted to $509 million. Compared to last year, it has grown by 78 percent.
«The $1 billion plan is just the first goal. Next, we must work to achieve a trade turnover of $5 billion. The turnover is growing every year. To date, there are 300 companies of Turkish entrepreneurs operating in Kyrgyzstan. We should not stop. Our potential is much higher. This applies to textiles, agriculture, logistics, energy, digitalization. Our entrepreneurs are ready to implement the most daring projects in the Kyrgyz Republic, we hope for the support of the Kyrgyz side,» Fuat Oktay said.
«We have all the opportunities for development. It is worth noting the Kyrgyz hydroelectric power plants. Our specialists are ready to assess the objects. We are ready to solve customs problems,» he concluded.
