Kyrgyz Pochtasy resumes international postal exchange with 24 countries

Kyrgyz Pochtasy state-owned enterprise resumed sending and receiving mail messages of letter post with 24 countries since June 24, 2020. Press service of the organization says.

In connection with the aggravation of the situation in the world related to the spread of coronavirus infection, mail messages were temporarily canceled from March 18 with 40 countries, and from March 27 — with all countries of the world.

The letter post includes shipments of up to 2 kilograms: packages, small packets, postcards, letters of declared value. In addition, these are also special bags — international items with a large volume of printed materials: papers, books, magazines. The maximum weight of such bags is 14.5 kilograms.

«Given the measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, most countries have significantly reduced international air traffic or completely stopped it. Therefore, the international postal exchange will be carried out once a week according to the departures of Aeroflot-Russian Airlines PJSC,» Kyrgyz Pochtasy noted.

In addition, optimized mail service tariffs will come into force from July 1, 2020. Updated tariffs can be viewed and downloaded on the website of Kyrgyz Pochtasy.

Postal service has been resumed with Austria, Azerbaijan, Great Britain, Hungary, Georgia, Italy, China, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Moldova, Poland, Uzbekistan, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Finland, France, Czech Republic and Switzerland.
