Number of crimes against minors increased in Kyrgyzstan in 2018. Prosecutor General of Kyrgyzstan Otkurbek Dzhamshitov told at a meeting of the Parliament.
Deputies hear the report of the head of the supervisory body on the state of law in Kyrgyzstan for 2018 and the work of the prosecutor’s office.
The Prosecutor General reported that 10 children were killed and 42 children were raped in 2018.
«At least 1,368 crimes were committed against minors. In 2017, this figure was 1,107. However, the number of sexual crimes decreased by almost 11 percent. Each criminal case on crimes against children is under control. We are bringing these cases to an end,» Otkurbek Dzhamshitov assured.
