The Slovak Republic is ready to share with Kyrgyzstan its experience of successful reforming in all areas of state administration. The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia, the head of the OSCE, Miroslav Lajcak, stated this during a press scrum.
Miroslav Lajcak arrived in Kyrgyzstan with an official visit. This is his first trip to Central Asia. «The OSCE has determined three key words: person, dialogue, stability. Our main goals are conflict prevention, a safe future and mutually beneficial cooperation. I visited Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia and Moscow. I must say that Central Asia is of strategic importance to security in Europe. As for Kyrgyzstan, we have achieved success and positive results in cooperation with the OSCE,» said Miroslav Lajcak.
He added that democratic reforms were actively carried out in Kyrgyzstan, the electoral system has been successfully changed, the fight against corruption, radicalism and extremism was progressing fruitfully.
The head of the OSCE stressed the need to develop the potential of relations between Kyrgyzstan and Slovakia in the field of politics and economics.
In his turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov noted that it was planned to sign a number of agreements. «The parties will be able to come to mutually beneficial positions, a business forum is planned. Consultations on investment activities are planned through the Foreign Ministry. In addition, we intend to use the long-term potential, the foundation of which was laid back in the 1930s on the basis of the Interhelpo cooperative,» Chingiz Aidarbekov said.
Following the briefing, the ministers signed a joint statement, Chingiz Aidarbekov awarded his Slovak counterpart with the medal of the Foreign Ministry for strengthening international cooperation.
