Rain and snow, intense precipitation in some areas are forecasted in Kyrgyzstan for February 1. The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Heavy precipitation is expected in the foothill and mountain areas of Chui, Osh, Jalal-Abad, Batken regions and in the east of Issyk-Kul region.
The roads will be covered with ice, packed snow. Snow drifts are expected on mountain roads.
West wind of 5-10 meters per second, in Issyk-Kul, Naryn regions with a gain of up to 15-20 meters per second is forecasted.
On the night of February 2, snow is expected in the mountainous regions of Osh region, in the east of Issyk-Kul region and in some districts of Naryn region; no precipitation is expected in the rest of the republic. No precipitation is forecasted in the afternoon of February 2 and at night on February 3.
Light snow is forecasted in the afternoon of February 3 in the mountainous regions of Osh and Jalal-Abad regions.
Fog is expected in some areas of Chui, Talas, Batken, Osh, and Jalal-Abad regions.
In connection with the expected precipitation, avalanches, snow drifts, packed snow and ice are expected in the mountainous regions and on Bishkek-Osh road.
