Diplomatic rank was assigned to the member of the Central Election Commission Kairat Osmonaliev illegally. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
In order to eliminate violations of legislative norms when assigning the diplomatic rank of Advisor of the 2nd class to the former Vice Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kairat Osmonaliev, an order was issued to deprive him of this rank.
«Order of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs 324-K dated October 24, 2011 was issued in violation of article 17 of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Diplomatic Service, according to which diplomatic ranks are assigned to employees of the diplomatic service taking into account their position, qualifications and years of service in the Foreign Affairs Ministry and foreign institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic. The position of a vice rector was absent in the register of government posts,» the press service explained.
Earlier, Kairat Osmonaliev said he would sue the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Deprivation of rank is possible only by a court decision.
