Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev tells about Open Government in Georgia

There will be reforms in Kyrgyzstan. The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev stated at a meeting with the Director of Open Government initiative within the framework of the Open Government Partnership Sanjay Pradhan.

The Prime Minister reminded that Kyrgyzstan joined the Open Government initiative in November 2017. Eight years ago, the country chose the parliamentary path of development, a new Constitution was adopted, a reform of the system of public administration was carried out, and therefore a large role in the state is assigned to the Parliament.

«We know the principles of the Open Government Partnership. But we are not going to stop there. The government sets ambitious goals and intends to carry out a number of reforms that meet the interests of Kyrgyzstan and the civil society,» said Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev.

Sanjay Pradhan noted that Kyrgyzstan in the future would be able to become a leader in openness in the region.

Membership in OGP will help to improve the effectiveness of public administration, increase public confidence in the activities of state bodies and improve the image of the country among the world community.
